Love . According to the dictionary is “”the intense feeling of the human being who, starting from his own insufficiency, needs and seeks the encounter and union with another being”. Let`s take this insufficiency that need the love as a starting point.

On the other hand, it is name that designates various species of herbaceous plants whose prickly adhere to hair, clothing, etc. Medicinal plant. Bidens pilosa.

The aim is to represent the duality between the concepts dry love-medicinal plant, love-insufficiency: what a priori we see as bucolic, which may be the concept of love that is actually born from our need not to be alone; and vice versa with the medicinal plant, which by its name may appear poisonous, hard, barren… and which brings health benefits with its fruits.

Sketch and technical study

The figures in the collection respond to several derivations of the concepts “dry love” and “insufficient love”:

From the “dry” concept, to the work of Federico García Lorca “Yerma”. This will translate with the use of “dry” materials reminiscent of jute, and the making of garments with them.

From the concept of “insufficiency” to the void, emptiness, nothingness or the absence of something. Understanding this emptiness as emotional, visual or material thing. This concept is translated as “cut-outs“, lace and wide garments.

From the concept “love” we take that bucolic, the romantic…translated as lace fabrics, tiptoes, fabrics with movement or gauze and dresses of empire waist.

From the Bidens Pilosa we will take the colours: green, yellow, white, earthy and brown colours.

Final collection: looks and catwalk

From the overview of the collection of 29 looks, 3 of them were chosen, which at the time of presentation, it was decided to present them as four looks so that they could better appreciate the garments developed.
