This collection “A Girl Knows How to Fight” takes as its base family and collective memories, an objective compilation of our historical memory, of the most recent and raw history of Spain, specifically the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939)
After researching the conflict and the dress of the time, reading reports, Royal Orders and Circular Orders of the Government from 36 to 37, the final result is a collection inspired by military lines and colours, and in the silhouettes of the soldiers’ clothing photographed in the various magazines published during the conflict.
It is a collection of women and men, with a higher percentage of looks of women than men, as a counterpoint to what happens in military conflicts in which the participants are mostly men. On the other hand, this collection seeks to explore with patterns and fabrics, and infuse with the development of my own skills: from deconstructed garments, to hand embroidery made with different techniques, up to the concept of fluid gender present in the volumes of garments.

From the overview of the collection of 15 looks, are summarized in the preparation and development of three final looks, two of woman and one of man. The three looks feature embroidery and hand applications, and three distinct silhouettes, present in the collection and both sexes.
